I was always able to keep my head above water in terms of paying bills and keeping on top of my student debt. But my paycheque hasn't increased for years and my bills, specifically in the power department, get larger all the time - despite my sincere efforts to conserve energy. And when I think about it, why do I even make an effort to save energy? Because it's the responsible thing to do for the benefit of public health and the environment...but it clearly won't make things any better for my power bill. The less power we use, the less we should pay. However the less we pay to the power company, the higher the rate becomes to compensate for the loss. Oh look, someone has me by the balls! —Free Power
