Video Game Basher

Posted on Thu, Sep 15, 2011 at 1:42 PM

I am in my late-20s so most of my memorable childhood was in the '90s, and that would make me part of a generation that grew up playing videos games. So anyway, I was at work recently on lunch break, and I was having a conversation with others who are around my age too. The topic was video games that we used to play as teens, then out of nowhere a gentleman sitting close to us (in his late 50s) speaks up and says sarcastically and in a condescending tone, "Yeah, cause that's all I wanted to do when I was a teenager! Stay inside and play video games!" STFU you dumbass, what video games even existed when you were a teen? The closest thing to a video game was probably Monopoly. There weren't the same distractions back then as there were when I was a teen. I'm sure if I was a teen in the '60s or '70s I would have spent more time outdoors. It's kind of like if my Grandma said, "Kids these days are spending too much time on their cellphones. I never spent that much time on my cellphone when I was a kid." —I Like Pie.
