A certain cab driver decided to stop at a red light, then think better of it and RUN the red light as I walked in front of him, grazing me with his mirror. He saw me. He went for it anyway. So I called to complain. I explained the situation and was told, "Well, everybody makes mistakes." I said I understood that but that perhaps this sort of mistake warrants some looking into. I was rudely interrupted and asked if I had ever made a mistake driving. I said "I don't drive for a living. I don't want to use your company again" At this point I was told it was "wrong" of me to insinuate that I wouldn't use their business again. Now I was mad. I told this ridiculous fool of a woman that I had EVERY RIGHT to choose which companies to patronize and which I did not. That one of the great things about cabs in halifax was that no one company had a monopoly on the taxi business and that I was well within my rights to not only CHOOSE not to ever use this company again but to also complain to an even higher authority (BBB or whoever) about not only his driving but her horrendous customer service skills. At which point she said "bah!" (which I believe is redneck for "bye") and hung up on me.
Please people, think twice before using a cab company that has pissed you off or threatened your safety. These people are rude, stupid, and don't give a damn about keeping business whatsoever. You can bet I won't be letting this go anytime soon. I'm not sure who to call next but somebody needs their bell rung. —Slapped by a Mirror
