Listen, I know it's a bad time to be looking for a serving job. I realize that you did a bunch of hiring six weeks ago. That timing didn't work for me so here I am, pounding the pavement with a smile on my face hoping that you will hire me even though I know it is awful timing.

There really is no need to be so bitchy and dismissive of me when I come in asking to drop off a resume. Do politeness and friendliness not exist in Halifax restaurants or what? Even if you're not hiring, at least be nice about it. It feels shitty as it is to have to be applying at this time of year and there is no need for your bitchy attitudes to make me feel worse. So next time someone comes in to drop off a resume, be nice to them, even if you're not hiring. Try to remember when you were looking for a job.
