Don't Walk - Ever!

Posted on Mon, Jun 20, 2011 at 10:58 AM

Why do pedestrians have to push a secret button to cross at the intersection in front of Citadel High? Who invented this cruel trick to play on visitors? I've watched them stand on the corner waiting minutes for a walk signal while the traffic lights go through their cycle, and eventually running across on the red when traffic clears. Why mess with pedestrians and visitors? This obstacle is ironic in a province where every intersection is supposed to be an "unmarked crosswalk" – another local law that visitors don't know. Why stop there? Let's drive on the left, too. —Jay Walker
