You give in because you don't want to argue. It drives me nuts. I don't want to win, I want to communicate. It's good to have a difference of opinion, opposition can be interesting. Don't just roll over and say "OK". I can take being wrong. I can't take a cop out. You say it doesn't matter to you enough to fight. Well maybe it matters to me. Maybe, I need some feedback or maybe I need to be held in check. We'll never find out if we don't discuss it. Saying you don't care and letting me have my way all the time because it is easier than asserting yourself is like being dismissed, as if my reasons and opinions aren't worth listening to. It hurts. I want to be heard and understood and I want to know if I'm out of line or missing the point. Maybe I'm looking at it all wrong. Maybe I should revel in constantly getting my way. —F.I.N.E.
