I appreciate that you are airing ads for the upcoming hip hop concert at the forum. I've griped in the past when hip hop shows that I want to see and buy tickets for get canceled because they don't sell enough tickets due to poor promotion. If you're going to promote someone's concert though, don't deny my request to play their new hit single during the request hour. Matter of fact, you should play the song without any asking you if you're going to promote the guy's concert. The problem isn't you, I guess I would love for Halifax to have an actual hip hop/urban crossover station. These "new" stations came on the airwaves a couple years ago and all they do is play the same shit the other stations play all day. It's really annoying and I go so far as to pay for satellite radio rather than listen the same regurgitated bubblegum crap on our airwaves. If you're going to promote hip hop shows, and take the money from the promoter for the ad slot, play hip hop, especially when your audience requests it. And don't get me started on these people who call in to request a song that they already play 100 times a day. —Not a Top 40 Fan
