Dear extreme right-wing Republican youth, you leave me shocked and bewildered. Stop trying to shut down Planned Parenthood agencies and public abortion clinics by claiming that they are the hub of prostitution in the United States. I have great difficulty understanding precisely your problem with these programs. Do you really think suspending state-paid abortions will reduce crime? Do you think prostitutes will cease to exist? Of course not, only the girls will then be encumbered by children that they didn't want and can't take care of. Keep in mind these children are just as much a part of the future as you are. Do you have no second thoughts about inhibiting a woman's right to control her reproduction? This is the other outcome which your proposals will have. Believe it or not, these programs are used by women who are not prostitutes, and who are just as educated in regard to their sexuality as you think you are. There have been pimps and whores since the dawn of time, they will exist whether or not these government programs exist. Woman's ownership and control of her sexuality is something much more recent, and this freedom depends much more heavily on its institutionalization in government and culture.
