It seems everything that's racist these days is never taken seriously and automatically chalked up to the "race card" boogie monster...

Alright I've had enough of this BS. I read that previous bitch about the people in Preston and their protest and while I'm not going to agree or disagree with what they did (I actually think crying racism in this case was uncalled for) it underscores a dangerously stupid path we are travelling down in North America.

While it would be naive to think every charge of racism is indeed valid (which isn't possible because guess what? every race and/or visible minority has assholes that are going to exploit certain things to their own advantage, that's the selfish nature of the human condition) it is completely fucking retarded to think the opposite is true, that every time a charge of racism is laid it's just playing the "race card". WAKE THE FUCK UP PEOPLE, racism still exists, and in many forms. To deny that, or to decry that it's a groups own problem for being too sensitive is asinine.

Do certain races cry foul too often, maybe, that still does not give the rest of society the right to say, well fuck the decent people of that race (that only charge racism when it is valid) chalk them up with the rest of the "race card" players! Are you kidding me?

And why is it always just "black" people that play the race card? Really no other ethnicity ever does it eh? Seems a bit naive to me. It seems to me that this race card charge is a get out of jail free card for anything racist, because it's not racist if you charge the person crying racism with the "race card" argument. The only thing that society will except as racist anymore is Cross Burnings on lawns, and the outright use of the word Nigger, and I'm not even sure of that last one... I'm pretty sure if someone said it they could easily defend themselves when being accused of racism because a)it was part of a joke and meant to be funny, don't be so sensitive dude b)black people say it all the time why cant I?, c)I was actually referring to the Niger river, you misheard me dude, STOP PLAYING THE RACE CARD on me man! No way I'm racist, I have you as a black friend!

Hell the more I think about it the more I think there are probably a whole bunch of sympathizers for those cross burning boys down in the county, because you know they're good kids and didn't realize the severity of their actions and what they stood for, and that's the first thing they've ever done that was bad and the only thing they ever did that was racist, which to me means that couple getting all upset is just playing the race card to get sympathy, toughen up and stop being so sensitive! Oooops did I just take the words out of some of your mouths?

Every single race and/or visible minority uses the minority status to their advantage sometimes, somehow, (race card, reverse racism, affirmative action, reverse affirmative action etc) but to somehow put that on the entire Black population as the only race ever doing it through "race card" accusations is just stupid and naive and dare I say it, twinged with a hint of *gasp* racism?

As a black man I can no longer, a)feel like anything racist has been done to me because if I do I'm being too sensitive or playing the race card, b)sit back with my mouth shut when racist things do happen because I lose respect in myself and the equality my ancestors fought for that we have yet to realize, c)dress a certain way because if I do then I am automatically a drug dealing thug (which I am not I have a permenent unionized position, benefits pension etc) or I am not dressed "black enough", d)same for listening to music and hairstyles.

At the end of the day my only wish is the fucking idiots crying race card, every time someone cries racism, are just as much a part of the false racism charges as the people making the claims. If we could all step back and use some critical thinking skills for each individual situation we could work past these problems as opposed to having knee jerk reactions where people scream RACISM and people scream back RACE CARD. Hopefully all of our kids are smarter then us... —Tired of turning a blind eye...
