No room to dance in my shell

Posted on Sun, Aug 8, 2010 at 10:23 PM

So I have this terminal shyness problem where I just don't let other people get close to me, especially other women. I was a weird kiddo and an ugly duckling, I'd make a best friend and then some girl with a mean streak would usually come in and I'd get ostracized, always bottom of the social totem pole. Looking back on it, yeah I was an annoying, un-medicated ADD brat a lot of the time, so no grudges.

What sucks is that it's left me unable to form anything deeper than a very casual acquaintance type of relationship with other women. And I have this little passion of mine, I love love love to get into a club and just dance the night away. But I have no girlfriends to go with. I wish there was a way I could meet some other painfully shy chick who just wants to bust a move on a Saturday night. But she is probably to shy to talk to me :( —Wish I could be dancing through my twenties
