In stitches from bitches

Posted on Sat, Mar 6, 2010 at 5:06 PM

I understand the need to unload frustration and gripe. Especially anonymously, in a place you know your voice will be heard. However, I think the general population of this lovely planet is taking itself (themselves?) WAY too seriously. There's certainly no harm in making a bitch on this website. It's hilarious, and it's way interesting to see what people are REALLY thinking, but some of you 'bitches' are bitching about the most ridiculous, petty things and it's driving me nuts!

Why dwell on the littlest of things, especially when they have no other effect on you other than throwing off your busy schedule, or violating your personal beliefs or morals? I read a bitch not too long ago from some uptight asshole(s) complaining about the homeless people asking them for money on SGR. Seriously, what's the fucking harm in a homeless dude asking you for a little help? Sure, they could sometimes go about it in a more polite manner, but if you're just going to walk by them with no acknowledgment anyway, why the fuck would you make you angry? That's just an example.

People are so quick to complain these days. They're so content and comfortable with their lives, as soon as they're given a problem to overcome, they reach for prescriptions and "professional help." They over-use terms like "depression" and "unhappiness." I'd reckon 85 percent of society is stuck on auto-pilot. Just going through the endless loop of Work, Sleep, Rinse, Repeat. Whatever happened to LIVING? Getting out there and connecting with people? Exploring? Experiencing? Let's get back to basics and stop with this whole, progress, innovation, business-minded BS.

People forget that we're human. Seriously. We're just like any other species on this planet, except we've developed a beautiful and overwhelming ability to think and be self-aware—often with self-destructive results. We're not the technology we've created. We're not the industrial structure. We're not the money we use.

We're fucking meat bags with too short a time on this planet to let the little things disrupt our pursuit of happiness (the only thing that should really matter).

WAKE THE FUCK UP, GET OUT AND MAKE SOME NEW FRIENDS, DO SOMETHING CRAZY. MAKE YOURSELF HAPPY, AND STOP FUCKING COMPLAINING. IT'S BRINGING THE REST OF US DOWN. —Keeping it REAL
