No, I Don't Want to Install The Fuckin' "Ask" Toolbar

Posted on Sat, Jan 16, 2010 at 7:34 PM

Why is it whenever I install a new piece of software, I'm inundated with requests to add some ridiculous toolbar? Honestly, your toolbar doesn't do anything my search box already doesn't do. The worst part of it all is that the check box is hidden in the most innocuous of places, like in between "make a desktop icon" and "pin to start menu".

Look, I know you get money from the company if you get people to add these dumb ass search tools that essentially are a form of spyware. Fuck off already. I paid to get a legit copy of your software, I don't owe you any more than that. I'm not making you and a specific search engine (starts with a Y) more money that you deserve. I'd download free software, but that's just as bad; but at least you'd expect it from them.
