I recycle. I compost. I do a neighbourhood clean-up each spring. Patiently, I pick up the garbage that blows from my neighbours' untended yards into mine. I call the city when something needs to be tended to in the neighbourhood (even though after many visits to view the problem, it doesn't usually get fixed). So, when some kids decide to drag boards into the street in front of my house, I do not appreciate the city showing up to post a ticket on my door for not cleaning it up as fast as they would like. Had they made inquires, they would have found that it didn't sit there for three days, but it was dragged there each day to use as bike ramps (after I picked it up each time).
