What's up with this women who got busted for downloading child porn and only received a two week sentence that she can serve on weekends? What the fuck is up with that? They said she wasn't the kind of lady who would do that and she was supposedly downloading it for her husband. Again What the fuck! Lets see if that works for the next man who gets busted huh ? that is bullshit if your downloading child porn then you are disgusting weather or not its for you or your husband, seriously who would want to be with a man who likes to see kids doing sexual things anyway. I am pissed about this fuck her, I am sure she knew it was wrong and GROSS so why should she get off easy ? because she is a women ? Fuck that! Should have gave her the same punishment that any man would have got.I bet she doesn't even end up on the list for these sorts of people.Equal rights yeah right....

I adopted my dog from the SPCA in Dartmouth, and we couldn`t be happier with our four legged friend, he has brought much joy however, with the SPCA now indicating that they are overwhelmed with all the cats/dogs they currently house, they have asked the public to adopt which I think is a good idea. The only issue I have with the SPCA is that although they take care of spaying/neutering and a 1st visit, they also charge an adoption fee for both dogs/cats, which I think they waved on cats for now. We were instructed that all dogs adopted must be enrolled in an obedience class, you must produce proof that you have done this etc...our particular class cost us 135.00 for 8 weeks.

This will probably get a Coast Sucks tag ( which it does not by the way ) but I must object - bitch even- to the web editor being so fast on the draw with labelling any and all break up bitches as boring. I will agree while most of them are the same repetitive sophomoric nonsense, some of them are down right hilarious to read and even more fun to rip up publicly.

In the spirit of goofing off while at work on a Friday, I challenge all of you to post your most hilarious/disastrous breakup/date story.

Rules : It must be a true story, must include you age at the time of the breakup and/or date.

So last week my cat, Maxbane, went out for his evening stroll around my garden and never came back. I've searched high and low, notified every service/website I can think of, and put up about 120 LOST CAT posters. I could have reasoned he was exploring Halifax, or stuck in a nearby shed. I could have simply, albeit anxiously, waited for him to be found. But everyone I talk to takes one look at his picture and assumes that he was-- get this-- stolen.

Stolen?

Who the hell knowingly steals people's pets! I'm appalled so many people are comfortable with the suggestion. I've never actually known anyone who's intentionally stolen a cat. It's disgusting. I've put hundreds of dollars into this creature. He's been my constant companion and source of relaxation, laughter and consolation. To think that anyone would ever be so selfish and inconsiderate as to rob me of my cat has left me crying in rage. It doesn't matter how adorable or friendly an animal is. People bond with their pets. Stealing a pet is hitting on a married man, except it's not risqué or "oh-you-bad-girl!". It's evil.

If you find a pet, take it to the SPCA. They won't kill it, honey. They'll probably just find its owner. And if they don't? THEN YOU CAN KEEP IT.

I really wish that when a baby is screaming that the mother/father would pick him/her up and console the damn thing. When baby's cry they are telling you something...they are either uncomfortable or hungry! The only way they can communicate is by screaming or crying. How can someone just stand there and listen to a little helpless baby crying and not feel compelled to help them? Have some compassion...and if you can't have compassion then don't have kids!

OK honestly what is wrong with out system now days i mean i know its bad when i walk past the skate park and see over 35 people under age drinking and doing everything else while a cop stands of to the side and does piss all. also its bad when one of thoes minors is only 12 years old brags about being drunk and having alcohol poisoning WTF is wrong with this place i mean yeah i drank under age ill admit it but i was smart about it and NEVER drank in public let alone in the heart of halifax. so i think its time that someone in uniform steps up to the plate and helps clean up our city and give these disrespectful kids who cant use there common ground properly a reality check

I have no problem spending 5 bucks for a coffee... I know it's a lot and I could make it at home for a fraction of that, but I enjoy being out and sitting with friends and the coffee takes awhile to make. 5 bucks buys me 45 minutes of a relaxing time. But when I sit in the coffee shop, why can't I have a ceramic cup? Is it so hard to wash 'em? You tout your coffee grounds for compost (love it!), but why not take it to the next level (the one that's been standard for centuries) and use re-usuable mugs?

So I am a smoker, and I can't get over the number of people that come up to me outside Scotia Square and ask for one. It's always the same people too, and how many times can I say no. A group of us will even smoke behind the bush and you still find us. The worse part is most of you smell horrible and don't have a shirt on half the time. So clue in, no one is going to give you a smoke, so bugger off.

Has anyone noticed that a local radio station has dismissed its entire afternoon, evening and weekend staff? I think this is disgusting - I listen to radio partially for the human interaction. If I want to listen to CDs, I will and I now do!
