What is The Coast Afraid of?

Posted on Thu, Apr 16, 2009 at 10:14 PM

What is LTWWB for????????? I thought it was so people could vent anonymously, and have healthy outpourings of emotion for the world to see!

The coast's site set up is suspiciously similar to another alternative weekly newspaper that is circulated in Northwestern American State, known among other things, for being the birthplace of Jimi Hendrix. That newspaper's online bitching also has a forum and actually allows people to post things that the moderators may not always agree with. The bitches I posted to The Coast were not in any way prejudicial or hate-based, nor did they name names or break any of the rules!!!!!!!!!! What the fuck??????? and now, i cant even see a record of my bitch. I want my bitch back so I can post it somewhere where the administrators wont deny its approval. That OTHER paper's bitching column also has a forum that is well developed and interesting. Partly due to the fact that the bitches span a huge range of categories and even offensive ones are allowed.

I know I'm leaving myself open to shades of "well, why don't you go live over there then?" rebuttals. But those rebuttals would be missing my point. I DO read that other paper's anonymous bitching forum and I love it. But I live in Halifax and love to read The Coast's bitching board. Sadly the other day, when I started reading the other paper's forum, the Coast's bitches began to seem repetitive and bland in comparison. I don't think the people of Halifax are any more bland than the people of Seattle, so why does our alternative weekly's bitching column read as fucking dull??? why is it so dry? why why why? So I will continue to read both papers, but I will feel a lil sore about this issue when it comes to The Coast.

Maybe my ego is just bruised cuz the bitches I tried to post meant something to me and they didn't get posted. It wasn't just them being public that i wanted. I wanted the privilege that having them become public brings.I was more curious to see what others had to say. I was so excited when i got home from work today to see if my bitches were up, and if anyone had made any comments.

As is the case in the other forum, sometimes bitcher's emotions can be calmed down when they see that other people agree with them. Sometimes when people disagree, it can show the bitcher that their views were very one-sided. I was looking forward to that privilege, but for some reason, my bitches were not worthy of receiving it.

LTWWB puts those little cutesy notes before some bitches like, "another boring break-up" or another bus-driver bitch, and proceeds to show the bitch. Maybe, if they approved other kinds of bitches, they wouldn't have to use their little warnings all the time. Why label some bitches as "another boring break up" when you don't even let the interesting bitches go up?

just more of the same, more of the same. what is the coast afraid of? and what is the criteria for choosing bitches? what are the fucking "lenient standards of propriety"?

And how come my dumb bitches didn't get approved, but other people's dumb, boring bitches did?
