Chav Spotting in Halifax...

I've noticed lots of bitches where people refer to "lulu losers" and "brainless bimbos carrying Dolce & Gabbana."I think a fitting word for these girls - the ones who wear Lululemon with no intention of exercising or doing yoga for instance, is Chav!

I've noticed lots of bitches where people refer to "lulu losers" and "brainless bimbos carrying Dolce & Gabbana."

I think a fitting word for these girls - the ones who wear Lululemon with no intention of exercising or doing yoga for instance, is Chav!

You might also see them wearing Ugg boots (or other equally trendy but ugly mid-calf boots), over-sized designer bags and glasses, messy ponytails or hats, looking like they just rolled out of bed (but with perfectly applied make-up), talking on their cell phones and sipping low fat lattes - all at the same time! None of it really goes together, but because celebrities wear/do it and it has a designer label, they don it like it's a perfectly matching outfit!

I can't comment on their IQ because I've seen a lot of them at the Dal Library and other student "hangouts" (don't get me started on that one!) so I suppose their in university, therefore intelligent. But they shouldn't be surprised when someone points out how silly it all looks.

I have no problem with any of these things, but c'mon it looks pretty ridiculous when they're worn like that! Halifax is not the Hills and Spring Garden Road is not Rodeo Drive. Since about 2003, some people seem to think it is.

Chavs: Halifax's Average Varsity Socialites.
