Dear Haligonian Club,

I had high hopes. Your FOH and BOH staff are all awesome. I was usually off by 10:30 p.m. The money was rumored to be wicked! And the club itself is beautiful. So what went wrong? That is to say, why am I refusing to come in tonight and tomorrow night for my last two shifts (I put my notice in already) Here is why:

When the management makes employees cry on a daily basis, there is something wrong.

When management is sexist and only men receive promotion, there is something wrong.

When management yells and swears at her employees, there is something very wrong.

When management treats her employees like idiots, and does not give them breaks during a 12 hour shift so that she can keep the actors happy THERE IS SOMETHING WRONG.

Your club is the worst place I've ever worked at. And I am certainly used to long hours, running up stairs, and hard work. That has nothing to do with me screwing you guys this weekend. I'm not coming this weekend because I was treated like an incompetent, insignificant, idiot. This is not who I am and I took it for three whole weeks. You are always stressing out over absolutely nothing. Well here is something that genuinely deserves your stress: You don't have anyone to make the actors happy tonight "Sweetie pie". I didn't walk out last night because I couldn't stand to screw my coworkers. But I don't feel an ounce of guilt knowing that you are stressing right now trying to reassign someone to my position for this weekend.
