I hope Peter Kelly, Ken Reashor and the rest of the stooges feel ashamed of themselves over this. This winter parking ban is an absolute abomination of a bill to pass.

Not only does it stink of a money grab by greedy government officials, it hits the people who need help the most the hardest.

It is not only hurting all of the university students that make up a major part of the Halifax economy, and who are trying, against a system of loans and interest, to make ends meet, but it is hurting low income families, who have a hard enough time making ends meet.

I urge everyone to get angry over this bill, and if they don't feel like changing the bill, we make them. This is OUR city. They are public servants, not public masters. They are supposed to work in our interests, not greedily take what they can get due to an apathetic public.

I suggest a day of protest outside Mayor Kelly's home. When the entire world is going through an economic crisis like the one we are witnessing, taking an aggressive stance on a small matter like low income/university students parking on the street is hardly acceptable and warrants action.
