On a recent visit to Dalhousie Campus, I parked my motorcycle near metered parking, four inches from the curb on a non roadway, non foot path, area of wasted pavement. I was impeding no passage, nor was I blocking in any other vehicles. I return five minutes later to find a ticket on my motorcycle.

I drive my motorcycle because it is not a car. It saves a crap load of gas and takes up no room to park. City parking enforcement are great with the motorcycle - they have no problem with me parking it between parallell spots on meters if there is room or poking it wherever I can find a spot that doesnt cause anyone any grief. Now DALHOUSIE on the other hand sees it fit to discourage modes of transportation that are good for the environment. Well frig you dal... I guess the only time you're "Green" is when there is someone aroudn to publish a story about it.
