I feel bad about homeless people and the situation they're in. I'd like to give them money, but it brings up such an internal conflict.
You hear stories about "homeless" guys who live in condos and drive a new car. You see and hear about homeless people using their change to buy cigarettes, alcohol and drugs. Some of the homeless have real issues (mental, physical, emotional) keeping them from finding a home and a job, while others, for one reason or another, just don't want to work or work hard.
How do you choose who you give your money to? How am I supposed to seperate the addicts, the fakers and the plain lazy from the legitimately needy? And if they're all legitimate, I can't give all of them money; I'd be broke too. If you share with one, you have to share with all of them!
