There needs to be a class taught in school, a 'Pedestrian Education' day, or big fluorescent street signs that direct sidewalk traffic because my fellow walkers in Halifax don't seem to understand how sidewalks work. Like the road, it is customary for traffic to keep to the right of the sidewalk in the direction you are traveling in. Don't get me wrong, pedestrian collisions are occasionally amusing, but I am sick of getting stuck behind, or in front of, a group of people 5-6 wide walking down Spring Garden taking up the whole sidewalk. WALK ON YOUR SIDE. And pedestrians think drivers are stupid...
