The Clippers round the world race was here in halifax and they all left thursday morning, June 12. I never heard anything about it except from my gf, who heard it from someone else. No radio, tv, or any media outlet to be spotted on the waterfront. We checked it out. Amazing boats. We actually took a tour of one of the boats, and one of the crew members confessed that there really isn't anything happening here. Friendly people, but nothing to do.

One actually said that they were invited to a lot of galas, mainly to be the piece of entertainment. He said there were a lot of big wigs there and he had to sit by himself at one of those table to entertain those big wigs. I couldn't believe me ears when i heard that. I certainly don't want to be a part of a selfish city.

Another thing is the NS Multi-Cultural fest. I have yet to hear or read anything about it. I only heard one thing because i went looking for it. Yet walking around downtown, the whole area is littered with Tattoo Fest posters. Why, is it because we pride ourselves on multicuturalism?

There is something wrong with this city. How can people sit here and accept that.

Another radio station was giving away tickets to "George's Island" as a prize. I had no idea you can go to George's Island. I'd love to go but i thought it wasn't allowed. How do we get to George's Island? What boat do i need to charter to get over there? how much are the tickets, where do i buy the tickets?!
