the union "accepts" (without a vote of membership) an offer that was first put on the table and rejected last September. The result...no backpay for accepting the new contract today.
We pay dues for our professional union executive and union representation. This is a newbie, walked into a hot frying pan mistake and the executive are going to pay for this down the road come vote time. It certainly to membership looks a little shady.
Thanks for nothing, and no doubt the union dues will increase. Capital Health must be laughing but then, we did manage to pay for the nurses raise, heaven knows they need it and apparently we dont.
