After following the rules and paying my rent on time and never having had a problem with previous landlords and leaving my apartment in mint condition, my landlord decides to make me stall for two months to make me think I'm getting my security deposit back. I moved out at the end of August. After a month, the beginning of October, his son says it's mailed out. Never got it. Called to confirm the address, it was right, but M.S. was on vacation and HE writes the checks. He comes back October 23, I called the 24th, explaining to his son I never got it and all he has to do is CANCEL IT AND SEND ANOTHER ONE. I speak with M.S. He doesn't want to send another one, and that I should call the MAIL PEOPLE since it's their fault. PLEASE! Then I say it is as easy as on-line, or telephone banking to match up the check and confirm I haven't cashed it. Oh no, he doesn't want to write another one, says I don't know what I'm talking about, says he doesn't want to talk to me and actually HANGS UP ON ME! I know this happenes alot. All of my other landlords have been good! I have a student loan that doesn't cover my tuition and residence during my intense program that for the first time in 5 years I can't work. I NEED THAT MONEY way more than he does. WHY DOES THIS HAVE TO HAPPEN!! Has this happened to any other abiding tenants??

I'll be telling good tenants to not rent there!
