To the popular amphibious tour guide with the high-decibel, blaring loudspeaker and the downtown route, advising tourists to visit Starbucks and Second Cup for their coffee fix: Why don’t you support local cafes? Haligonians care so much about supporting independents, maybe a local business should be directing out-of-town customers to other locals. How about a little solidarity, here, rather than promoting only the larger chains? FYI, Steve-O-Reno’s, The Daily Grind, Just Us!, etc. are all in the downtown area.
