Your Daily Sure Thing | City | Halifax, Nova Scotia | THE COAST

Gang Bang(Girls night out dance party) Mix two parts alcohol, three parts sweaty sweaty dance, one part thumpin’ beats, a drop of irony and you’ve got a Gang Bang special. Plug your nose and cannonball yourself some tonight at Tribeca. (Tribeca, 1588 Granville, 10pm-2:30am, 492-4036)

Informal Art Tour(Gerald Ferguson fronts his frottage) When I showed mom some of Gerald Ferguson’s artwork she said it looked like something my nephew would do. That’s what makes Ferguson different. What he does, and has been doing for over a decade, seems like something anyone can do, but the difference is he actually does what we dismiss. So, pack your lunch and head to the Dalhousie Art Gallery to hear Ferguson talk about his work that’s on display. (Dalhousie Art Gallery, 6101 University, 12pm) Historical Halifax Bike Ride(Pedal your way into the past) Halifax is old, really old actually. And just like most really old people, it’s not one to dredge up its past. So, think of your tour guide for this bike ride around town like that crazy uncle who tells you the family’s secrets. Of course, this is a bike ride so make sure you’re able to handle roads and a 10k ride. Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult and there will be a social stop at the end. (Grand Parade Square, Barrington at George, 6:45pm)
