Burning Ears

They talk about Halifax in the darndest places

So there I was, reading Indian Catholic as I do every Fishday, and I came across a mention of Halifax. Edmonton's new bishop is from our fair town, you see, and apparently this is important to people on a subcontinent on the other side of the planet.

Quoting the article: "Richard Smith was born on April 28, 1959, in Halifax, Nova Scotia. He was ordained a priest in 1987 and served in various positions for the Archdiocese of Halifax." (Full text here.)

This got me thinking, among other things, about our ever-shrinking wwworld and the saying that your ears burn when somebody's talking about you. How much do Halifax's ears burn? And does it hurt? About the first question, I'm going to keep track and will post (hopefully regular) updates here. About the second, keep checking back and we'll find out.
