Ok. There is alot of news lately about increasing tensions between Russia and the US. CNN (Fox lite) loves this shit. The thing is; what do we believe; and should we be concerned? Is it sabre rattling; guys shaking their willies at each other? In this world of disinformation; where can people go for the truth? I am an agnostic; and I'm not into the whole "End times" line of thinking. But, do want to say this to them (the ones that have the missiles): fuck-off with that shit and grow up. —Tired of fruitcakes

As the title suggests. The sea is unpredictable, and if you're not careful, terrible things can happen. Don't be an idiot. Be fucking careful. There are already tons of warning signs posted everywhere. More safety measures aren't needed. Respect the sea. —ocean lover

I would like to remind drivers that crosswalks do not have to be marked to be a crosswalk. Most intersections are crosswalks, whether or not there are lines. To those who refuse to stop on the Herring Cove Road between Dentith and Drysdale, let me remind you that construction has closed the bus stop and the crosswalk nearest Sussex. Five of you would not allow me to cross, speeding up to pass me. Read your Drivers Manual if you don't agree: Chapter 2 page 42 and I quote: Unmarked crosswalks Every intersection has a crosswalk. Many are unmarked. Drivers must yield to pedestrians at all intersections, whether crosswalks are marked or unmarked. —Pissed pede.

LOWER WATER STREET is 2 lanes. Should I repeat myself? Apparently not on commuter received the memo 2 years ago when the made the street one way. Everyday in traffic there is a long SINGLE line of cars waiting to leave the downtown on lower water. I have tried to move into the left lane to proceed and I am always met with beeps and stares as if i'm cheating. It's 2 lanes people. Right lane be right. Left lane is awaiting half of the cars moving north. We will all get home a little sooner and a little less stressed. —Lois left lane

I've got a black and white television
I've got an indigo gas oven
I've got holes in my head
Holes in my head
I've got filthy rotten wall to wall
I've got a couch made out of corduroy
My cat's dyin', words flyin'
Leakin' from the shower stall and that's not all
I can't believe the things I hear
Falling from the atmosphere
Sexual atrocities are happening right over me
And I can't sleep
Living under June
Living under her

As I drive into the city everyday, I see at least 15 dead animals on the side of the road each way. Yesterday I saw a mother duck leading her baby ducklings toward the highway because she needed to get to the lake across the road. Earlier this spring, I saw a struggling, injured deer on the side of the road, and two highways workers were laughing over it. I wanted to scream in their ugly faces, but I was driving. It's no excuse, I know. What is wrong with people? Let's make an overpass for the animals over the 101 like the one in the Banff National Park. We need to protect Nova Scotia's wildlife, work WITH the animals! I wish that everyone could see the beauty in all animals despite our differences. —The Toughest Mother-Clucker in Town

A hearty "Pox upon your house, Dirtbag!" to whoever illegally dumped several heavy kraft paper bags of dirt on the curb in front of my house and a neighbour's down the street sometime in the middle of the night. The city does not collect dirt as part of the compost program. And it's going to be hell when it rains on those kraft paper bags. I curse you, Dirtbag, for saddling your fellow Haligonians with your mess. (I have no idea what I'm going to do with them, the city will do nothing, and I'm not putting mystery dirt in my yard) —Curser of Dirtbags

I was recently given a tablet as a retirement present (I won't give makers name). Recently while checking out the apps, I noticed several that were called "Pet Girl.” These apps basically involved undressing the girl down to her scanties. I am male. I, frankly, was shocked to find this on a prominent company’s product. I have to ask: what were they thinking when they allowed this? Do they look at these things before approving? —Bluesnozer

On Saturday night, I watched so many walk past a man in need on George Street. Nobody stopped and asked if he was okay or if he was even breathing. I actually heard one person say "ew" as I was walking up to him. I stayed with him by myself for 15 minutes waiting for the cops/paramedics until ONE GUY stayed with me, talked to him and comforted him while I was on the phone with dispatch. To that one guy: thank you for being a decent human being and staying with me and him. You were the first person to ask if we needed help. Another thanks to the few people who stopped by and asked if we needed anything and didn't stick around to crowd this man’s space. But to the rest of you who kept on walking past before and after I got there: I hope you're feeling like the shitty person you are. —Heartbroken

It's a weird juxtaposition having to work at a grocery store where you serve people who are quite a bit wealthier than yourself, while you yourself have to go to the food bank to make sure you can feed yourself. It’s just odd being surrounded by food and yet not being able to buy much of it. —Maybe large companies should give out more hours
