When in Rome, skip this movie

Even dishy Josh Duhamel can't light this Roman candle.

High-concept romantic comedies are in vogue right now: Films like When in Rome and Leap Year hinge on contrived, asinine notions rather than the simple satisfaction of two interesting, likable people falling in love. Kristen Bell plucks coins from an ornate Roman fountain and soon has the coins' owners employing Terminator-like tactics to win her heart. Amongst all this, she meets the dishy Josh Duhamel and, according to the Law of Diminishing Hunks (where the last remaining looker gets the girl), they fall in love. It's not that there is anything to truly hate in When in Rome, it's just that there is absolutely nothing that sticks in your brain longer than it flashes in screen.

When in Rome is not showing in any theaters in the area.
