Open Concept Co-op has put together an outstanding cast for its production of Brad Fraser’s Unidentified Human Remains and the True Nature of Love, a challenging and chilling look at the lives of several twenty-somethings as they grope their ways through various dark mazes of love and lust. Ian Mullan is brilliant as David, the play’s charismatic central character who keeps the world at arm’s length while manipulating those around him. Steven Bourque is charming and believable as the besotted teen struggling to embrace his sexual identity. In fact, all seven actors are both physically and emotionally perfect for the parts they play, making this a remarkable theatre experience. Although the story is part melodrama and part murder-mystery, the serial killer plotline is not nearly as exciting as watching these young actors careen through the highs and lows of human relationships.
