The immediate success of Uncommon Grounds' South Park location quickly led to the opening of more downtown locations, and they presently have three locations (South of Morris on Barrington and, in season, at Horticultural Hall in the Public Gardens). There's no real mystery to their success: each neighbourhood-style cafe is cleverly designed and comfortable, offering locally roasted brew, fresh baked good, soups, snacks and sandwiches, and free wifi.
