Touring Green - Blog 45: Barrie to Toronto (July 12-19)

Biking Yonge St, Eye Weekly, Wavelength, Horseshoe, Wonderland, MTV (All In One Week)

I biked into Toronto via that long street they have called Yonge St. I decided to make an all-Toronto playlist for the bike too and so I listened to Broken Social Scene, The Golden Dogs, The Diableros, Cuke The Duke, FemBots, Final Fantasy, Major Grange, Laura Barrett and, of course, The Hylozoists; I give my thumbs up to all these bands too!)

After biking that long-ass street, I made my way to CIUT FM and All About The Music to have a nice chat about my biking day and the biking days preceding it.

I arrived to find a great bit of words written in The Eye Weekly by a kind and fun to talk to, Helen Spitzer:http://www.eyeweekly.com/eye/issue/issue_07.12.07/music/meet.php

Wavelength was excellent as it meant seeing the amazing BA Johnston and Brent Randall & His Pinecones who had among them, as amazing as they all are, the quite fantastic Laura Peek . It was so great to see all of them; Joel, Dave, Brain and Jess too and feel that little bit of home at that moment. Great show and a lot of fun times.

Horseshoe was fantastic as well coupled with a trip to Wonderland the following day (the kid in me was hoping to go ever since the first day of lots and lots of rain as it was something fun to think about... by the time I got to Toronto, I pretty much had to go). Making it back for MTV Live HACKED that night was a tad bit stressful as live TV waits for no delayed TTC cars! Made it back in time alright though and had a blast.
