Haliwood Insider has learned that The Oxford Theatre (6408 Quinpool Road, 422-2022) is in the midst of a face-lift that will give the Quinpool Road cinema a fresh coat of paint. The job should take about a month. No word if any changes will be made to the interior.

Right now, the charming Woody Allen movie Midnight in Paris is packing them in at the cinema, though Terrence Malick's jaw-dropping new epic The Tree of Life is rumoured to be going in there on Friday. We'll confirm that in Thursday's print edition of The Coast.
