It’s good to see that Tara Slone knows how to strike when the iron is hot—the former Joydrop chanteuse and Rock Star: INXS personality (and Haligonian) has finally gotten around to dropping her solo debut, Just Look Pretty and Sing, on the disinterested masses. Lead single “My Little Secret” was released to rock radio ages ago, but failed to make a significant impact and has been played sporadically since. Releasing her solo debut 18 months after Rock Star concluded was probably not in her best interest, and her Evanescence-meets-original-Veruca Salt sound is unlikely to leave a lasting impression on those who dare brave the headphones.
