I've been told certain jobs are men's work and have been pulled onto co workers' laps, called "babe" and "sweet thing" on the job by coworkers, bosses and customers. Sexism is certainly not dead in the service industry.

I'm curious of the people who were interviewed that "had no issue" with Burrill, if they are part of this mysterious inner-circle of "yes" people? So far I haven't seen any difference between this guy and any other former NDP leader. Lots of promises, hitting all the public interest boxes (education, health, the environment) but having absolutely no clue how to actually deal with these issues in any concrete sense.

Someone needs to find their zen..or learn to breathe without swearing on public transit. You know people with kids in tow ride them too, right?

Legit bitch. I'm sick of the drivers how can't be bothered to look up from their phones to realize the light has changed. Don't be pissed when I use my horn!

Even those of us with insurance have to wait for years to get in to see a specialist. I agree with you that there are a lot of people abusing the system but we also have a broken system that operates under an acute care model that is outdated. I think you would agree most health care issues in an ER are largely chronic illnesses (physical and mental) but the current system has no idea how to manage them aside from throwing pills at patients.

    Re: “Garbage police
It actually gets worse. I got a letter from the city claiming I had been putting the wrong items into the wrong bags and outlined which bags go where (I can tell you where they should stick their GD bags!) and of course, threatened to fine me if it continues. I never felt my privacy so invaded, I mean really, they looked in the bags, took notes and wrote a letter? This is someone's job? I use the same THREE different bags I'm supposed to! My tax dollars at work smh. This city needs to get its priorities in check.

We women need to take this more seriously. What that idiot was doing was illegal. Next time take the jerk's (or jerk's friend's) license plate number and call it into the non emergency line. Maybe if these pricks get a visit or call from the police they will learn their 13 year old behavior is not legal or acceptable in civilized society.
