Red Dead Redemption is perhaps the greatest game to take place in the Wild West---the desert feels both cinematic and organic. With death around every corner, it doesn’t matter if it’s the bandits or the bears; you have to keep your wits about you. The main character and the person you’ll be controlling is John Marston, a former outlaw trying to save his family from his old posse. You’ll be riding on horses, acquiring new weapons and even playing poker while you track your enemies. The game world is enormous and lifelike
---to say this is Grand Theft Auto in the desert wouldn’t be doing the game justice, as it is much better than that. The game is driven more by story than needless mayhem (don’t get me wrong, mayhem is great too). The multiplayer is a fairly good distraction but the single player experience is the real meat and potatoes.
