Red Dead Redemption: undead nightmare

(Rockstar Games) PlayStation 3, Xbox 360

Undead Nightmare takes everything that was good about the original game and twists it into a needless apocalyptic mess. John Marston is at the centre of a full-blown zombie invasion and he must single-handedly find out what is going on and try to prevent it from spreading. Gone are the well-developed characters and the story-driven plot, back are the chaos and mayhem that Rockstar’s Grand Theft Auto series is so well known for. Most of the environments are the same, except everything has been given a darker look and some flames have been placed (seemingly at random) in the towns. This is a skin-deep add-on and I kept wanting to play in the original world. Undead has its moments, such as riding one of the four horses of the apocalypse or chasing down Bigfoot, but this add-on is really only for those who are dying to get back to the Wild West (see what I did there?).
