Kate Rothschild was an artist without a medium until she took a beginners' sewing class. And why menswear? People ask her that all the time. "Why not menswear?" she asks. "I like it and it likes me." Rothschild describes her wearable fashion as "luxe, clean and minimalist," constructed in classic styles and shapes with high-end textiles. "I want men to feel comfortable but also look cool as hell," she says. This hand-dyed navy linen outfit breaks new territory, since jumpsuits aren't exactly traditional men's wear. "It's easy to throw on, looks sexy and fits great. What more does a fashionable man need?" asks Rothschild. Wear it for a summer road trip or pair it with an over-the-shoulder boom box. T-shirts from her new collection will be available soon at Makenew on Agricola Street.
