While spending her days steaming milk and keeping people buzzed at Starbucks, music lover Rebecca Sharpe started dreaming up a plan for a charity concert. And as it turned out, the perfect venue was right under her nose. Always encouraging charity work in the community, her employers offered up their high traffic patio as a stage and Sharpe turned her barista partner in caffeine crime, Like a Motorcycle's Kim Carson, to start building a lineup that would draw a crowd in support of the IWK. Friends and friends of friends filled out the bill and Starbucks sweetened the deal offering up free lemonade. Tis the season for outdoor concerts, and this one will be a doozy no doubt.
Sat July 9, Starbucks, Robie Street and Spring Garden Road, 1-4pm, by donation
