No Touching at All

by Kou Yoneda (Digital Manga)

No Touching at All is a one-volume manga about an office romance between a young gay man and his straight boss. While not a completely believable gay love story (it’s part of the “yaoi” genre in Japan that’s aimed at women, rather than gay men), the characters still ring true, being both selfish and selfless in equal degrees. What really makes the story memorable is the art. The characters express things through body language more often than speech, leaving the other characters (and the reader) to piece things together. The whole book is a great example of restrained storytelling.
