Gold Winner Gahan House
Silver Winner Krave Burger
Bronze Winner Robie Street Station
The folks down at the waterfront’s newest face, Gahan House, didn’t campaign for this one. General manager Mike Roberts says a mix of history—35 years of Murphy’s Restaurant Group—and good ol’ island vibes might be what’s behind the Nova Scotian iteration of the Charlottetown restaurant being crowned Halifax’s Best New Restaurant by you discerning readers. “It’s true east coast hospitality,” says Roberts. “It’s having people come in and having fun, and we’re all family here. The great food and great beer”—brewed on-site by brewmaster Karen Allen—“are just an added bonus.” The view doesn’t hurt either.
