Nashville Pussy
Get Some!
Spitfire
Though they perfected their sleazy hard-pounding sound on High as Hell, Get Some proves Nashville Pussy has grown, somewhat, as a band. Which means they have moved from the juvenile antics of a 13-year-old to a 14-year-old. They no longer just sound like Mötorhead mixed with Lynyrd Skynyrd — they’ve slowed it down some and sound more indebted to AC/DC. The lyrics are still filled with lusty sex and getting drunk and stoned in a sad-ass homage to the white trash lifestyle. A couple of interesting tracks are solid covers of Tina Turner’s ode to the clean livin’ of her southern Baptist hometown in “Nutbush City Limits” and the Ace Frehley-penned “Snowblind.” It is what is and fans should be pleased. Nashville Pussy plays the Attic on September 30.
