Laughing Whale Coffee

It's no laughing matter that this micro coffee roastery on the South Shore has "the lowest carbon footprint per cup" of any roaster in Atlantic Canada. Their uber-green Laughing Whale uses a catalytic tower designed to burn smoke and re-circulate the heat to the roaster, keeping the emissions very low. They also donate 25 cents per pound of coffee sold to the Ecology Action Centre. To top it off, all of the Laughing Whale's brews are certified organic and fair trade.
