Some of the most innovative and breathtaking games have come from online platforms (PSN, Xbox Live Arcade). Journey is the latest masterpiece to continue this trend. You start out as a robed figure in a vast desert, with no real sense of who your character is, or what the goal might be. You see a high mountain peak in the distance and the rest of the game is your journey to that summit. The design and music is awe-inspiring. Occasionally another player will join you on your quest at random, the only form of communication being your haunting chants, that play a role within the game. Anyone who argues that video games are not art needs to play this game, their opinion will be shattered. One of the most beautiful and enlightening experiences out there.
