Inside Job gets a grip

An eye-peeling, attention grabbing analysis of financial catastrophe.

According to Inside Job, the seeds of America's current bleak economic situation were sown all the way in the 1980s, when decades of care and caution gave way to ruthless deregulation. Since then, the financial system has been held hostage by blue-chip boobs like Larry Summers, Allan Greenspan and Harry Paulsen, who insulate themselves from ever-increasing catastrophic crises in the markets with a clouded devotion to the supposed complexity of Wall Street finance (that only they can understand, of course), and a tendency to promote from within their dangerously insular world. Even as we shake off the dust of this crisis, these men and women still enjoy positions of influence and privilege. Inside Job is an eye-opening call for accountability.

Inside Job is not showing in any theaters in the area.
