If you want to spend your New Year's Eve eating then just stop reading right now, you've found your special dinner soulmate. "It's a huge food fest," says Cyndi Locke, Grafton Street Dinner Theatre's manager. "We have them for a long time, seven hours, all day, so we kinda give 'em dinner and a lunch---the way the show is paced they are constantly being fed." It's a dream come true for people who think a year is best celebrated with good food and fine company. Plus, throw a little theatre in with your four-course dinner and you're smiling to 2013. "The show is an annual Christmas family reunion and two of their prodigal kids have returned after five years of being away and basically it's about all sorts of crazy antics that ensue when parents get older and kids get older and everyone kind of has their own life. The music is country holiday classic songs made popular by Kenny and Dolly, with some newer stuff like Taylor Swift, Buck Owens and the Dixie Chicks. It definitely has country flavour to it." And don't think you'll just be sitting around watching all night, either, the audience is considered part of the family---and with the after-show dancing, toasting and even more eating---you will be.

Grafton Street Dinner Theatre, 1741 Grafton Street, 7pm, $100, 425-1961
