CBC.ca reports: Olympic poll says Canadians happy with athletes, China and TV When rower Krista Guloien led a contingent of 100 Canadian Olympians returning from Beijing down the escalator at Vancouver International Airport Monday she found a country more than satisfied with how the Summer Games turned out."
"Oh, yeah? Was that poll conducted by the Chinese Government?" asks a friend. Really and seriously, it might as well have been.Constant paddling whiner Adam Van Koeverden yesterday complained that people shouldn't be looking forward to the 2012 Olympics in London. They should keep paying attention to Olympic sports all the time, next year, next week, and so on. Well, OK. Though I think the javelin scene really fades once the closing ceremonies wind up.Seriously, though, you can see sad Adam, the poutiest medalist in Canada, in Lake Banook next week. Paddling. Keeping the dream alive. Right. See you in 2012.
