TIPS FOR YOU

1. Do you have your tickets? Wristbands and priority passes (skip the lines like a boss) are still available $85 and $199, respectively. You can buy them online or at the HPX box office at the Atlantica Hotel (1980 Robie) open from 9am-8pm to Oct 26. Limited quantities of single tickets are available online or the venues 20 minutes before show time. See here for all info.

2. Halifax Digital runs concurrent to HPX, featuring sessions with speakers like Johnny Cupcakes and Irene Pereyra & Anton Repponen. It runs until Oct 25 at the Atlantica Hotel. See hpxdigital.com for more info.

3. This year, HPX has kindly provided us all with a free festival bus, running 7pm-3am until Saturday. Bus stops are regular transit stops, marked with an HPX Festival sign. The HPX bus makes a loop around the city, dragging your loopy arse around.

4. There’s also an app for all of this–the HPX 2013 App. It’s available from the iTunes or Android store and gives you a great excuse to scroll while waiting in line for a beer.

5. Don’t forget about learning! Pop!Talks Music and Culture Conference takes place at the Atlantica Hotel Friday, October 25 and Saturday, October 26. I couldn’t even pick a favourite talk if I wanted to, so go and park it there during the daytime and learn something.

6. Get souvenirs (other than band merch) of your HPXperience at the Pop Expo, a record, zine, craft and art fair Saturday, October 26, 8am-5pm, at the World Trade and Convention Centre. Get it, gurl (and guy).
