GoGirls launches its Nova Scotia Chapter

The Company House welcomes the first meet-up and open mic for ladies in the biz.

GoGirls launches its Nova Scotia Chapter
Christine Campbell of Stone Mary.

When the Harmony Bazaar Festival of Women and Song decided to take submissions online this year, they had no idea what they were in for. Sifting through applicants, Errin Williams Spidle was overwhelmed by the outpouring of emerging female artists and bands from across the province. Aware of the supportive online community for women in music, GoGirlsMusic.com, this flood of talent was the perfect nudge for Williams Spidle to start Canada's first chapter of GoGirls. "There are so many great women out there that are just intimidated. The way we're growing this is as a supportive warm environment," says Williams Spidle. Thursday night marks the official launch of GoGirls Nova Scotia and the chapter's first quarterly meet-up and open mic night (featuring performers like Christine Campbell of Stone Mary). Ladies, gents, performers, industry professionals, music lovers---you're all invited.

Thursday March 31, The Company House, 2202 Gottingen Street

Open mic sign up 7:30pm, music starts at 8pm
