Since we last saw Gloryhound at its CD release in November, the band has stepped onto an entirely different cloud: After performing Juno shows in St. John’s, the local rock band found itself signed with an agent. “We’re very excited about working with Ralph James and the Agency Group,” writes Evan Meisner, lead singer of the group. “Ralph is right up our alley. He loves rock music and he’s definitely the right personality for guys like us. It feels rewarding to have a guy like him see something in the band---lets us all know that we’re not insane.” In celebration (or just for fun), Gloryhound’s Seahorse show is a video shoot. Meisner says they’ll shoot the entire show, and use the four or five songs “in which we screw up the least and look the best.” Dress appropriately. One last thing Meisner wants you to know about the show: “Coast readers: put down your alternative folk music and indie pop for a night and come rock out with us. It will be fun, I promise.” See page 22 for more on Gentlemen Husbands.
